Ken Shimura, Japanese Comedian Passes Away at 70 Due To COVID-19 Infection

The popular Japanese comedian Ken Shimura has already passed away at the age of 70 after he tested positive for coronavirus disease.

The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has been one of the most discussed topics not only in the Philippines but also in different countries all around the world.  The virus has already affected thousands of people worldwide.

The World Health Organization also described the disease as “Pandemic” after it rapidly spreads across the globe. The health scare has already infected high profile and popular personalities.

Recently, the Japanese public broadcaster NHK reported that the Japanese comedian Ken Shimura has died due to coronavirus infection. The famous celebrity passed away on Monday (March 30, 2020 – PH Time).

Ken Shimura experienced fever and breathing difficulty last March 19, 2020. He visited a doctor and was rushed into a certain hospital in Tokyo. The comedian was initially diagnosed with severe pneumonia but eventually tested positive for COVID-19 last March 23 (Monday).

The 70-year-old celebrity has been one of the best comedians in Japan after he started his showbiz career during 1970s.
