BREAKING NEWS: Confirmed Coronavirus cases In PH Is Now 1,418

There are 1,418 confirmed coronavirus cases now in the Philippines

On Sunday, March 29, the Department of Health (DOH) stated that there are now 1, 418 confirmed coronavirus cases in the Philippines.

The country continues to fight against the novel coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19. Authorities and private individuals have been doing their parts in order to alleviate the sufferings of patients as well as the hardships of frontliners amid the enhanced community quarantine.

In the Philippines, the number of confirmed cases continues to rise. Just recently, actress Iza Calzado revealed that she also got infected, following the confirmed case of veteran actor Christopher de Leon who is already recovering right now.

DOH, on Sunday afternoon, stated that there are 343 new confirmed coronavirus cases. Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said in a statement that there are 7 new recoveries, 3 new COVID-19 deaths, based on the Twitter post of Inquirer.

The health official also said that the agency is now processing more results now compared to previous days.

Meanwhile, Philippine General Hospital (PGH) volunteer Dr. Anthony Dofitas related that health volunteers should expect that they will work at Intensive Care Units (ICUs) for 8 hours a day. This will last for two weeks. After that, the volunteers will be quarantined for two weeks. They will also be assigned at wards, based on the Twitter post.

Dr. Dofitas added that health volunteers have been working tirelessly for a few months now. He also said that he decided to volunteer because he thinks that is the right thing to do in this kind of war.
