Bong Revilla Staff Dies Due To COVID-19, Here’s His Statement

Senator Bong Revilla releases statement when one of his staff dies due to novel coronavirus.

BONG REVILLA – Philippine Senator Revilla expressed something in a statement when of his staff succumbed to Coronavirus Disease 2019.

As of latest update from the Department of Health (DOH) on March 29, the country continues to fight against the deadly novel coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19. On Sunday afternoon, there have been 343 new confirmed cases which brings the country to have a total of 1,418 cases.

And just recently, among the fatalities is one of the staff of Philippine Senator Bong Revilla. He is a male staff member of the politician who’s been with him for almost 30 years and now was taken away from by the malevolent pandemic disease.

“Everything was so fast and sudden. He has been with me mula sa pag-aartista—through the ups and downs, the thick and thin—tapos ngayon wala na siya,” says Revilla in a statement. His statement came after he disclosed that the same staff had been confined due to initial diagnosis of pneumonia.

Accordingly, the patient has no travel history or being exposed to someone who is infected of the virus. He was last seen in March 16 at the senate to claim his salary. The politician lamented over loss of a loyal staff and the fact that he wasn’t able to bid his final goodbye to him.

Thus, he reminded the public to stay at home as this disease has already took 71 lives. He stated, “Mga kababayan, napakabagsik ng sakit na ito. At sa pagdapo nito kung kanino, daig pa ang napakatalas na punglo na babaon sa puso ng mga nagmamahal sa’yo.”
