Coronavirus Test of Senator Koko Pimentel Came Out Positive
SENATOR KOKO PIMENTEL – Philippine Senator Aquilino Pimentel III was confirmed positive for the 2019 novel coronavirus.
Currently, there is an increasing trend in the coronavirus or COVID-19 cases in the Philippines. According to the Department of Health (DOH), there is now a total of 552 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country.
It’s a huge challenge for PH to contain the spread of this infectious disease. The cooperation of everyone is highly needed as the infection can spread fast.
As of this writing, twenty (20) of the 552 patients of coronavirus have recovered from the disease while 35 did not make it in the battle. The country is now under a state of calamity.
The 2019 novel coronavirus spares no one. In the Senate, Sen. Migz Zubiri is the first senator to test positive for coronavirus.
Recently, another lawmaker, Senator Koko Pimentel, tested positive for coronavirus. Based on The Philippine Star, the swab of the lawmaker was taken last March 20, 2020 and it was last night when the results came out.
As of this writing, there are still no further information about the Senator. More updates may be posted soon.
