A kind-hearted resident gives a free meal to hungry cops since most of the eateries are already closed due to lockdown protocols.
Since last week, the Philippine government is already implementing stricter rules and regulations after President Rodrigo Duterte placed Luzon under an enhanced community quarantine due to the increasing cases of coronavirus.
The enhanced quarantine limits the movement of residents to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The measure also restricts mass gathering, mass transport, and other not important activities. However, residents who will buy food, medicines, and basic necessities were allowed.
The new lockdown protocols prompted numerous establishments in the country to suspend their operations temporarily. Groceries, supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, and other vital units continue to operate to provide the people’s needs.
A Facebook user named Royce Tendenilla has shared the photos of hungry police officers eating inside their home after his father invited them to eat since their canteen and most restaurants are already closed.
Tendenilla said that a group of police passed by while looking for food but their canteen is already closed. Royce’s father invited the cops to join them eat after seeing the frontliners already exhausted.
