Prior to the Release of their Coronavirus Test Results, 2 Patients Under Investigation in Soccsksargen Die
PATIENTS UNDER INVESTIGATION – Two (2) PUIs in Soccsksargen died prior to the release of the results of their coronavirus test.
The Philippines is now on a huge battle as the total confirmed coronavirus cases in the country continue to increase. According to the Department of Health (DOH), there is a total of 217 COVID-19 cases in the country now.
Seventeen (17) people died of coronavirus in the country. There are eight (8) patients of the said disease who recovered according to DOH.
With regards to the patients of coronavirus, most of them are in Metro Manila hospitals and medical facilities. The entire Luzon is now under an enhanced community quarantine to fight the spread of the disease.
In Visayas and in Mindanao, there are persons under monitoring or PUMS and patients under investigation or PUIs for coronavirus. Some of them had recent travel to Manila and contact with coronavirus patients.
Unfortunately, recently, two (2) patients under investigation for coronavirus in Soccsksargen died. Based on a report on Inquirer, they were tested for COVID-19 but they passed away prior to the release of the results.
According to DOH Health Education and Promotions Officer Arjohn Gangoso, one of the patients is an 87-year-old man in Tacurong City. Based on the report, the other patient was in Koronadal City in South Cotabato.
With regards to the PUIs in South Cotabato, all of them got recent travels to Manila and Luzon. The authorities are now tracing the people that the two (PUIs) who died had a contact with.
