A certain netizen has posted the photo of President Duterte allegedly wearing a “ Virus Shut Out” necklace amid COVID-19 outbreak.
The coronavirus disease 2019 is currently spreading rapidly in different countries all around the world. The deadly virus has already infected thousands of people worldwide including ordinary citizens and high profile personalities.
The Philippine government and health authorities are already implementing precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the disease. Filipino people were already observing social distancing.
The health scare has also caused panic buying of medical supplies including face masks, alcohol, and disinfectants. The public is already buying basic commodities and medicines amid the viral outbreak.
Recently, a Facebook user named Victor Gener LerinHallen has posted the photo of President Duterte allegedly wearing the “Virus Shut Out” necklace to avoid being infected by coronavirus disease.
Hallen posted: “Kung legit ito.andaya po pala ni tatay.paano ako na gsto pa mabuhay at wlang pera pambili?”
TRUTH: President Duterte is wearing a portable air purifier around his neck during public appearance so he will be protected from people with coughs and colds. The photos were taken around October 2019.
