Update on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Cases in the Philippines from the DOH
DOH – The Department of Health confirmed twelve (12) new cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the Philippines.
The 2019 coronavirus or officially called as COVID-19 has affected a lot of countries across the globe. One of these nations is the Philippines.
In the Philippines, five (5) coronavirus deaths were recorded as of this writing. The Metro Manila is also now under a “community quarantine” as per the order of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
Most coronavirus patients in the Philippines are admitted in the hospitals and facilities in Metro Manila. They are in isolation as the disease is contagious.
Recently, the Department of Health (DOH) gave an update on the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the Philippines. In a post on its official Facebook page, the health department revealed that twelve (12) new coronavirus cases were confirmed.
The recent addition to the number of coronavirus cases in the Philippines brings the total to 64 now. The DOH is seeking for cooperation from the public in the investigation and the contact tracing activities.
In the post, the health department Secretary Francisco Duque III also noted that the “chances of recovery are high”. He asked those with confirmed cases to allow the hospitals to handle them.
