Filipino Celebrities Expresses Gratitude Towards Brave Health Workers
FILIPINO CELEBRITIES – Several Filipino celebrities expressed their gratitude towards the health workers who are working so hard to fight the coronavirus.
On Thursday, March 12, Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte announced his plans during a nationally televised address. During his speech, he ordered 30 days lockdown of Manila to stop the spread of the deadly virus from China.
The 74-year-old chief executive said the lockdown will begin on March 15 to April 14. COVID-19 has claimed the lives of 5 people in the country and infected 47 others. Most of the cases are from Metro Manila.
Several Filipino celebrities noticed that President Rodrigo Duterte forgot to acknowledge the health workers, reporters, and scientists who are working so hard to inform and protect the people amid the spread of the coronavirus.
Luis Manzano, Bianca Gonzalez, Jim Paredes, Agot Isidro, and Neri Naig took to the social media to express their gratitude to the people who are putting themselves in the line danger to serve their fellowmen.
Vilma Santos’ eldest son Luis Manzano lauded the health workers for their bravery in keeping the country safe.

The former Apo Hiking Society member, Jim Paredes, expressed his disappointment about Duterte’s failure to acknowledge the health workers during his recent televised address. He even spared some time to praise China.

The veteran singer also retweeted Senator Risa Hontiveros’ Tweet. In the caption, he echoed the politician’s sentiments, stating: “Korek. He missed this opportunity.”

Veteran actress Agot Isidro also said the employees of the Department of Health (DOH) and healthcare professionals have her “utmost respect and gratitude.” She shared the screengrab of a message uploaded by a netizen behind @diellealura, whose mom works for RITM.

Former actress Neri Naig took to Instagram to thank everyone who works in hospitals including the maintenance staff, clerks, receptionists, security guards, canteen workers, and secretaries.
