24 Coronavirus Cases Recorded in Philippines

CORONAVIRUS CASES IN PHILIPPINES – There are now a total of 24 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines.

Currently, the Filipinos are monitoring the rapid increase in the number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in the country. Last week, the record was ignited again after two (2) Filipinos tested positive for the disease.

Both patients are male and one (1) of them, the 62-year-old man recorded as the 5th patient, has no travel history outside the country. The Department of Health (DOH) confirmed that it is a case of local transmission.

The patient’s wife then tested positive for coronavirus. After it, four (4) new cases were confirmed bringing the total to 10.

On March 9, 2020, the DOH revealed the ten (10) new cases of coronavirus were confirmed. All the patients are Filipinos and three (3) of them have no travel history abroad.

Following the announcement of the health department, in a press briefing, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte expressed that four (4) more people tested positive for the disease. It brought the coronavirus cases in the Philippines to 24.

Based on a report on CNN, the President revealed that four (4) latest confirmed cases of COVID-19 were recorded in San Juan, West Crame, Sta Maria, and Project 6 in Quezon City.
