Delfin Geronimo, the father of Sarah Geronimo, revealed this about the Popstar Royalty in a past interview.
In the controversy that came along with the wedding of Sarah with now-husband Matteo Guidicelli, Daddy Delfin appeared to be out the scene. It is because Mommy Divine Geronimo was the one who went to the venue of the wedding after the ceremony.
It is a known fact in showbiz circles that the parents of the singer-actress are quite strict. Sarah even admitted in a past interview that though she wanted to have freedom in various aspects of her life, still the advice of her parents matters.
On the other hand, it turned out that her parents was not in the wedding last February 20 because they are not informed. Apparently, they are still against Matteo to be the husband of their daughter. In line with this issue, the past interview of Sarah and Delfin Geronimo on Magandang Buhay resurfaced.
That interview happened late last year. In that episode of the Kapamilya morning talk show, Sarah Geronimo shared beautiful words for her parents. Daddy Delfin also commended Sarah for being a good daughter and sister to her siblings.
The Popstar Princess also said that she will be forever grateful to her parents and siblings. “Kahit sino…kahit anong dumating sa buhay ko, hindi magbabago ‘yung pagmamahal at pagrespeto ko sa mga magulang ko, sa mga kapatid ko, dahil pamilya ko sila. Number one family, so, text na lang. He-hehehe. Text na lang! Tapos, emoji na lang ‘yung iyak. Ha-hahaha. Pag family talaga, ever since, iba ‘yun, e,” Sarah said.
Then, Daddy Delfin admitted that they have now a better life because of Sarah, who has been supporting them, based on the article from Bandera.
“Siyempre, sobrang pasalamat ako sa pagtitiyaga niya, sa pagsunod niya sa amin, dahil, hanggang ngayon, suportado niya pa rin kami. Talagang sobra niya kaming mahal, mga kapatid niya, tsaka kami na mga magulang niya,” Delfin Geronimo shared.
