Video Of Militant Groups’ Protest On 34th Anniversary Of EDSA Revolt

EDSA – Watch the video of the militant groups’ protest on the 34th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution.

Various groups and individuals have their own way of commemorating the EDSA People Power Revolution. Some held a mass, rallies, or flag-raising ceremony. The historic event in 1986 was a civil resistance against President Ferdinand Marcos.

In a previous article, Vice President Leni Robredo released a statement on Tuesday. She said the EDSA anniversary is a reminder of Filipinos’ readiness to fight against dictatorship. “Magsilbi nawang babala ang EDSA sa sinuman ang muling magtatangkang ikuyom tayo sa loob ng kamaong bakal: Hindi sila magtatagumpay,” she said.

Leni Robredo clarified she’s not involved in the rally calling for President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s resignation. “I am not a part of any call for President Duterte to step down from office.’ My only request is that we all do our job as public servants,” she said.

In her message to mark the 34th anniversary of EDSA, she said the revolt was never a call for a perfect leader, but a push for him to prioritize the welfare of his people instead of “killing” them.
