Cory Vidanes expresses message amid ABS-CBN franchise renewal issue.
ABS-CBN FRANCHISE – Chief Operating Officer of Broadcast for ABS-CBN, Cory Vidanes grateful to supporters amid the franchise renewal battle.
On March 30, the franchise of ABS-CBN are bound to expire and currently, the network and its people are facing tough controversies which concerns the shut down of the company already on the verge. Solicitor General Jose Calida says they are engaged to “highly abusive practices” which was unnoticed for many years, thus, quo warranto petition was filed.
However, regarding this, Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III said that ABS-CBN can still continue to operate until March 2022. He explained, “They can still operate. If it’s not approved March of 2022, that’s the only time that it’s terminated, As long as may naka file na (there is a filed) bill, it is deemed extended, naka-file (it’s filed) eh. It has happened so many times with other franchises.”
Now, with all these controversies against the network, many people are supporting them and objected for it to shut down. And with this, Chief Operating Officer of Broadcast for ABS-CBN, Cory Vidanes expressed her gratitude to all of them who showed support those from their artists, fans, Kapuso, Kapatid, government officials, media, and among others.
Accordingly, these support gives them encouragement. She is also thankful to those who recognized their mission to serve the Filipino people. Vidanes added, “Malaki pong karangalan para sa amin sa ABS-CBN na makapag-serbisyo. At maging bahagi ng buhay ng bawat Pilipino. Muli, maraming, maraming salamat po.”
