Boy Bunda Reacts To ABS-CBN Franchise Renewal Problem

ABS-CBN FRANCHISE – TV host Boy Abunda gave his reaction to the ABS-CBN franchise renewal problem.

During the 2016 election, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte complained that the ABS-CBN network didn’t air his campaign ads although he already paid for it. He warned that he will not allow the said tv network to renew its franchise.

Kapamilya network’s franchise is set to expire in March 2020. Several actors have appealed to the president regarding the problem. Among them are Baron Geisler, Robin Padilla, Angel Locsin, and Vilma Santos.

In a previous article, the 74-year-old politician spoke again regarding the issue. He stated that he is firm on his initial warning and he will make sure that the Kapamilya network won’t be able to renew their franchise.

Recently, the ‘King of TalkBoy Abunda was asked about his thoughts regarding the franchise issue of his network. Based on a report from PEP, he admitted that he does not have enough information about the problem and he only hopes for the best for the tv network.

“I am not familiar with the problem. Hindi ko alam ang detalye ng problema… Pero ano man yun, sana ay maayos,” he said.

According to the report, Boy Abunda was also asked about his plans if the President would never allow the network to renew its franchise. He said he wants to teach and build his own academy of art.

“Parang gusto ko. Well, hindi parang… gusto ko talaga. Gusto kong mag turo… I’d like to be able to… malay natin, with this AMA OED involvement, I’d like to put up my own academy. Pero simple lang, alam mo yung academy of the arts. May public speaking, may acting…”

“I’m talking to one of the foremost acting coaches in this country, baka puwedeng ilang mga artes ang tawag namin sa National Commission for Culture of the Arts. I’d like to put up my own school,” he added.

Based on the report, Boy Abunda couldn’t answer if he really preferred to teaching than hosting. He’s currently hosting four shows and he enjoys his work at the network.
