Mother of Tito Boy Abunda passes away at 90.
BOY ABUNDA – The mother of Tito Boy Abunda passed away at the age of 90 last December 1, 2019 and he had surely made his Nanay proud before she left.
Philippine Women’s University (PWU) via Twitter has expressed sadness after sharing that the mother of the veteran Kapamilya host Boy Abunda, Nanay Lecing, passed away. The post stated, “The PWU Community offers heartfelt condolences to Dr. Eugenio ‘Boy’ Abunda, PWU Trustee, on the passing away of his beloved Nanay, Licerna Romerica Abunda.”
To recall, in his last interview with Toni Gonzaga where she shared what she learned from him, she stated that it would be his stand to always make his mother proud. Toni explained, “Yun ang pinakatumatak sa akin, na sa lahat ng gagawin ko lagi ko dapat iisipin, magiging proud ba yung nanay ko sa gagawin ko, sasabihin ko, ipapakita ko sa telebisyon. Yun ang hindi ko makakalimutan sa ‘yo more than the brilliant interviews that you have done.”
As much as we are aware of, Tito Boy is known for his unconditional love for his mother and made the inspiring statement “Make Your Nanay Proud” famous. At that interview, he went emotional because of what they are going through.
