PAGASA – Tropical Storm Ramon Maintains Strength, Heads To Luzon

PAGASA – Weather bureau PAGASA said that tropical storm Ramon mantains its strength and is going near the Luzon island.

The bureau added that it was last spotted at approximately 290 kilometers east northeast of the town of Virac, Catanduanes.

According to Inquirer, it is currently packed with maximum sustained winds of about 65 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 80 kilometers per hour. It is seen moving north northwest at 20 kilometers per hour.

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) number 2 is raised over Catanduanes. On the other hand, the following areas are under TCWS number 1:

  • Northern Aurora
  • Eastern Coast of Isabela
  • Polilio Island
  • Camarines Norte
  • Camarines Sur

Based on the report, Bicol Region, Quezon and the eastern portions of Isabela and Cagayan will face light to moderate with intermittent heavy rain.

The bureau is currently observing another tropical storm named Fengshen which is seen just outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Fengshen currently has no effect to the Philippines and is less likely to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
