MMDA Officer Continues To Work Despite Having Epilepsy, Stroke

MMDA OFFICER – Despite having illnesses such as stroke and epilepsy, this particular MMDA officer continues to offer his services.

A report from KAMI states that the officer is identified as a 43 year old named Jefprex Baes.

Baes shared his experiences in the streets. He said that by the time he entered in the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, he already received hate from motorists, further saying that he almost got attacked with a pole.

“Marami na po, since noong naging MMDA ako, marami na po. Muntik na nga akong hampasin ng tubo,”

“’Di na ako pumapatol dahil mahirap, ganon. ‘Pag pinatulan mo ‘yung mga ganon, anong mangyayari sa’yo? Madidisgrasya ka, ikaw pa ang mali,”

Intense heat and rain, pollution, and getting tired from work are the things further worsened Baes’ health since he suffers from epilepsy. Thus, he always heads to the emergency medical station.

As per the report, Baes also has experienced stroke before as he suffers from headache due to clogged veins in his brain.

Despite this, he still continues to work as an MMDA officer. His reason is that he wants to aid his fellowmen further saying that he will still serve and aid those who needs help.

He shared his story in GMA’s i-Witness, which posted this on Facebook. Here is the post:
