Fire Catches Gustilo Ancestral Mansion in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental
CADIZ CITY, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL – The famous Gustilo Ancestral Mansion in the province of Negros Occidental catches fire.
On Tuesday (September 17, 2019), the popular ancestral house in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental has been damaged by hazardous flame. The devastating fire causes severe destruction in the old mansion.
In the photos, it can be seen that the blazing flame swallowed the huge part of the ancestral mansion. Several residents and personnel arrived at the site to put out the fire and save the heritage site.
Aside from the house, several paintings and other furniture have been also damaged by fire, according to the reports. However, the costs of fire damage is yet to be determined.
Dr. Vicente F. Gustilo, the father of Congressman Armando C. Gustilo build the ancestral mansion in 1936.
