ALDEN RICHARDS – Kapuso actor Alden Richards revealed his text conversation with fellow actor John Lloyd Cruz.
Undeniably, the recent movie of Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo is a huge success. Hello, Love, Goodbye which was directed by blockbuster director Cathy Garcia-Molina became the highest-grossing movie for 2019.
The public is overjoyed by the chemistry of the Kapamilya actress and Kapuso actor on screen. They played the roles of “Joy” and “Ethan” respectively who met in Hong Kong. Their lines went viral on social media.
It was the first time of Kathryn and Alden to work together in a movie. Many were curious as to the result and – they were able to pull it off wonderful with the guidance of Direk Cathy.
A lot of people can see John Lloyd Cruz in Alden Richards with the way he portrayed his role in Hello, Love, Goodbye. The latter is still in showbiz hiatus now.
John Lloyd did a lot of hit films under the direction of Direk Cathy. Among those movies are the One More Chance, A Second Chance, You Changed My Life, and A Very Special Love.
Speaking to Pep, Alden Richards reacted to being compared to John Lloyd Cruz. He also revealed that they had a text conversation before he started taping for Hello, Love, Goodbye.
“Sobrang happy ko po kasi, idol ko yun [John Lloyd Cruz]!” Alden said on being compared to Lloydie.
Based on the report, Alden, through a text message, told John Lloyd that he will be making a movie under Star Cinema. The Kapuso actor also relayed that Direk Cathy would direct the film.
“Sabi ko, ‘Idan, gagawa ako ng project sa Star… Si Direk Cathy ang director. Ang sabi niya lang sa akin, ‘Ang importante, masaya ka,'” he said.
Currently, Alden is very happy with the blessings that are coming his way. He has a collaboration with designer Avel Bacudio and he also has a new primetime series under GMA-7 entitled The Gift.
“Sobrang happy po ako sa mga nangyayari sa buhay ko ngayon, sobra, grabe… Hindi talaga nauubusan ng regalo si Lord,” the Kapuso actor said.
