John Lloyd Cruz Surprises Director Cathy Garcia-Molina
CATHY GARCIA-MOLINA – Director Cathy Garcia-Molina receives a surprise phone call from actor John Lloyd Cruz after her film press conference.
According to PEP, Molina confirmed that John Lloyd Cruz phoned her after his long hiatus in order to tend to his personal life.
This is because the actor heard the news that Molina will retire from her service in Star Cinema, an ABS-CBN-affiliated film company.
Before Molina even began making the film, referring to Hello, Love, Goodbye starring Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, Lloydie (John Lloyd’s nickname) reached to her, saying he was shocked to hear the news about her retirement.
The two haven’t talked to each other ever since October 2017, the month where Cruz started his hiatus, thus, the director was glad to hear from him.
John Lloyd is seen to have a shooting with actress Bea Alonzo, as speculated by netizens. It was then confirmed that they were working an endorsement project with Piolo Pascual.
As per the report, many fans have asked if they are going to work together in her planned last film. Molina responded to the question, saying that John Lloyd will not be in her last film.
Molina further said that it will be a long hiatus for the director and not a retirement as she has to tend to her two growing teenage children.
If she will be allowed to return from her hiatus, she will continue doing her work which she loves.
Before her last film, she planned on making another film which reunites the stars Piolo Pascual and Claudine Barreto.
