Leah Navarro Reacts to DOTr’s Free Rides To Students
DOTr – Filipina singer Leah Navarro questioned why student still needs to acquire new ID from DOTr.
Following a previous article, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced that students will get free rides from the airport, government-operated railways and seaport terminal fees.
This will surely help a lot of students who are having a problem with their transportations fees.
DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade said the government will give free rides to students nationwide in several transportation services.
“Ililibre namin ang pamasahe ng lahat ng estudyante sa MRT-3, sa LRT-2, sa PNR, libre ang terminal fee sa PPA, terminal fee sa airport,” Tugade said.
Based on a report from Inquirer, the students have to apply for a special ID to avail the free rides of the government.
Meanwhile, Filipina singer Leah Navarro took to the social media to react to the planned program.
Leah Navarro questioned why the students still have to get a new ID while they already have their school ID.
The singer also expressed her doubts about the new policy of the government. She said they really cannot be trusted.
In the caption of the post, she wrote: “Huh? Why bother with new IDs when students already have school IDs? How much is DOTr paying for these new IDs? This gov’t isn’t known for its honesty.”
