A Footage Of A Street Dog Who Walked Into A Pharmacy To Show Its Injury Went Viral
STREET DOG – This video of a street dog walking into a pharmacy in Istanbul seemingly looking for help went viral on Twitter.
Domesticated dogs are probably the most popular pet choice in most countries. Dogs, other than being great companions can serve several other purposes such as: guide dogs, guard dogs, for show, etc.
However, despite of the great help they can offer, some dogs are left on the streets by their owners.
While dogs are the one of the most popular choice in adopting a pet, there are still so many dogs on the streets that need nurturing.
This street dog, for instance, in Istanbul, had to walk into a pharmacy to show its injured paw and get it fixed.
In the viral video, a street dog was shown standing near the pharmacy’s door looking at the pharmacist with a weakly expression.
After seeing the dog, Banu Cengiz, quickly went up to the dog and found that its paw was bleeding. As if to ask for help, the street dog put its paw on the pharmacist’s hand.
Banu then dressed the dog’s wound and put medicine on it. They also gave the dog some food and water.
In a conversation with The Dodo – a US publisher, Banu revealed that the dog had more expressions in her statement:
“When I was done, she laid down as if to thank me. She was saying, ‘I trust you’.”
Twitter users also expressed their appreciation towards Banu’s kind gesture and amazement towards the dog in the viral video.

On top of this, Banu keeps an area outside the pharmacy for stray dogs. She also explained why she does such kind gestures saying:
“I do it because they feel. We need to help those who need it. People should teach their children to love and respect animals and nature. Then we can all live together in a beautiful world.”
