Rappler’s Boss Maria Ressa Featured in Madonna’s New Song
MADONNA – Rappler’s chief Maria Ressa was featured in the new music video of pop icon Madonna.
American singer-songwriter, actress and businesswoman, Madonna is one of the most iconic pop artists in the world.
The 60-year-old celebrity is dubbed as the ‘Queen of Pop.’ She’s known for having a unique music style and pushes the boundaries of songwriting.
Madonna has visited the Philippines in 2016 for her concert in Manila. In a previous article, the singer arrived earlier because she wants to visit the Amanpulo in Palawan.
Among the celebrities who have visited the beautiful resort are Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and Bill Gates.
The famous singer was also included in the “25 Most Powerful Women of the Past Century” of the TIME Magazine.
Similar to that, Filipina journalist and Rappler CEO Maria Ressa was also Time ‘Person of the Year‘ in the year 2018.
Based on a report from ABS-CBN, the controversial journalist was featured on the new music video of Madonna titled ‘I Rise.’
The American singer’s new song captures the global protest movement like the LGBT equality, testimony about sexual abuse, gun violence, and social justice movements among others.
According to the report, ‘I Rise’ music video also featured the press freedom protesters in the Philippines.
The music video was made with the collaboration of TIME Studios.
