Bolinao, Pangasinan Struck by Magnitude 4.3 Earthquake on Saturday (June 8)

The state volcanology agency Phivolcs reported that a magnitude 4.3 earthquake hits the town of Bolinao in the province of Pangasinan.

On Saturday afternoon (June 8, 2019), the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded the tremor at 1:46 pm.

The quake’s epicenter was located at 16.3 degrees North, 119.7 degrees south, 18 km west of Bolinao, Pangasinan.

Phivolcs said that the strong tremor had a depth of focus of 52 kilometers and tectonic in origin.

As of this writing, there are no damages were reported and no aftershocks are expected after the quake.
