The House Of Representatives May Investigate Google And Facebook Regarding Bikoy’s Videos
CAMARA – Search engine Google and social networking site Facebook might be investigated by The House of Representatives regarding Bikoy’s videos.
The viral video series “The Real Narcolist” recently triggered commotions in the government, the public and media outlets after revealing controversial information about several politicians.
Bikoy, the narrator in the video series surrendered recently.
Yesterday, Ako Bicol Party list Representatives Alfredo Garbin Jr., Christopher Co and Ronald Ang filed the Resolution No. 2585 raising the concern for official investigation.
Initially, the presented resolution called for the investigation by the information and communication committee. Then, Garbin recommended to invite representatives from Facebook and Google.
He also suggested to include the investigation in the agenda of the set hearing session next week.
In the presented resolution by Co, Ang and Garbin, they stated that Alyas Bikoy’s videos were uploaded since April 2. The video series that went viral exposed information about the alleged involvement of the president’s family and some other personalities in illegal drug transactions.
Delfin Lorenzana – Defense Secretary – also made some comments about Bikoy, reaffirming other assessments about Bikoy’s personality saying that he is a con man.
Lorenzana pointed out the inconsistency in Bikoy’s claims in his statement:
“It’s too good to be true. The narco lists he was claiming were rehashed from the previous one… and now he is accusing the other side. How can you believe this guy who will just change his mind or change direction midway.“

Lorenzana also stated that the national security did not detect any plotted movements to destabilize the current administration.
He said the released ouster matrices by the Palace’ spokesperson was meant to “kuryente” people. He specifically said:
“It looks like it was meant to ‘kuryente’ some people. There might be a true matrix but other personalities were added into it, in a hope that people will believe in it even if it’s false.”
