Rocket Hits Near Embassy of the United States Amid Tension Between US & Iran
A rocket landed near the embassy of the United States in Iraq amid the ongoing tension between U.S. and Iran.
Undeniably, considering that there are a lot of powerful countries across the globe, the possibility of conflicts is very hard to avoid at times. Tensions may cross between two powerful nations.
Currently, among the countries with tensions are the United States and Iran. The White House has previously ordered its warships to counter possible lodges from Iran.
Also, the US has reportedly ordered nonessential staff out of its diplomatic positions in Iraq which is close to Iran. The root of the tension between US and Iran is undeniably tough to trace.
Recently, a surprising report crossed the surface. Based on a report on Inquirer, a rocket attack landed near the embassy of the United States in Green Zone in Baghdad, Iraq.
Meanwhile, crediting the state-run news agency of Iraq for the information, the attack which landed less than a mile from the U.S. Embassy did not take lives.
Speaking to the Associated Press, Iraqi military spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Rasoul said that the rocket landed near the statue of a soldier. Based on the report, there are speculations that it came from east Baghdad.
