Why Regine Velasquez’s First TV Guesting Happened in GGV Hosted by Vice Ganda
VICE GANDA – Gandang Gabi Vice host Vice Ganda revealed the reason why the first TV guesting of the Philippines’ Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez happened in GGV.
Currently, one of the ongoing hit TV programs in ABS-CBN is the Sunday late-night talk show Gandang Gabi Vice hosted by Vice Ganda. It first aired on television in May 2011.
During the recent episode of the show, the guest was former Kapuso talent Regine Velasquez. She recently signed a contract with the ABS-CBN after twenty years of having GMA-7 as her home network.
Undeniably, the decision of Regine Velasquez to transfer from GMA-7 to ABS-CBN came as a surprise to many people most especially that she has stayed with the Kapuso network for decades.

Meanwhile, her Kapuso and Kapamilya friends and as well as the rival networks are supportive and understanding of the decision of the Asia’s Songbird. She and her husband, Ogie Alcasid, are now under the same network.

Based on a recent report on Pep, during Regine Velasquez’s appearance on GGV, Vice Ganda revealed the reason why the actress-singer’s first TV guesting happened in the late-night talk show.
According to Vice, his show is tasked to be the one to welcome the returning Kapamilya actors and actresses and as well as the new ABS-CBN talents.
“Sa dinami dami ng programa sa ABS, ito ang naatasang programang sumalubong ng mga bumabalik na Kapamilya at ng mga bagong Kapamilya,” he said.

Based on the report, aside from welcoming Regine Velasquez, Vice Ganda was asked to be the one to give the Kapamilya ID of Regine Velasquez. It is an access card to the premises of the ABS-CBN network.
When the Asia’s Songbird first used her ABS-CBN ID, the Kapamilya staff cheered for her. She even gave a jolly message to the ABS-CBN guard.
