How true is it that Ogie Alcasid convinced Regine Velasquez to transfer to ABS-CBN?
OPM icon Ogie Alcasid answered the allegation that he convinced his wife Regine Velasquez to transfer to ABS-CBN.
Almost two months ago, the rumors about the network transfer of the Asia’s Songbird started to circulate on showbiz news sites.
The speculations even fired up when Regine answered a netizen hinting her appearance on Kapamilya’s ASAP.
Her appearance in ABS-CBN Ball 2018 added to the gravity of speculations that she will soon be a Kapamilya.
Because of that, members of the media interrogated Ogie Alcasid if his wife will be with him in the same network.
With those, there was nothing certain yet. However, in a previous article, it was mentioned that an entertainment website confirmed Regine Velasquez’s network transfer.
In line with this, there are people who concluded that Ogie convinced Regine to be a Kapamilya.
Based on the article published in PEP, the OPM icon denied the allegations that he pushed the Asia’s Songbird to sign a contract in ABS-CBN.
“Ako po ay walang kinalaman dun, ang asawa ko ay isang matalinong tao. Di naman yan magiging Asia’s Songbird kung di yan nagtiyaga ng kanya lang, hindi ba? Ako naman ay asawa lang niya,” Ogie stressed out.
He said that it is just natural for people to think that he is behind Regine’s decision.
When asked if he is open to the possibility of working with his wife in ABS-CBN, Ogie Alcasid answered with affirmation.
“Sino ba ang may ayaw na katrabaho mo ang asawa mo? If that will happen, it’s a wonderful experience. Actually, ang tagal na rin naming di nagkatrabaho together. Limang taon na in a TV show,” he said.
Ogie Alcasid even shared the project he has in mind for him and Regine Velasquez.
He said that he wants to have a sitcom with his wife.
