Manny Pacquiao once again showed generosity
Legendary boxing champ Manny Pacquiao gave a generous tip to a Transport Network Vehicle Service (TNVS) driver.
Manny is one of the most succesful athletes not just in the Philippines, but also in the whole world. Based on recent data, the Pambansang Kamao has an estimated net worth of $220 million.
With this numbers, he is considered one of the wealthiest athletes in boxing history and the richest celebrity in the Philippines.
His success is reflected to how he would treat people around him. Manny is known for his generosity, aside from remaining humble despite his success, which he passed on to his children.
In a recent vlog that was shared on Team Pacquiao YouTube channel, the boxing champ mentioned that he was heading to his Manny Pay office in Makati and would not be driving his own vehicle. Instead, he would use TARA, a ride-hailing application.
Manny Pacquiao showed the tip he would give to the lucky driver. It’s worth to be noticed that his tip is not just in pesos, but in US dollars.
“Kung sino ‘yung driver na masakyan ko ngayon ay blessed siya ng Panginoon because ang ibabayad ko sa kanya ay hindi piso kundi dollars,” the former Senator said.
The vlog showed that Manny rode the TVNS taxi, with a fare of just P110. When it was time to pay, however, the boxer handed the driver a whopping $1,000, which is equivalent to P61,000.
The driver was moved to tears of joy by this unexpected opportunity to receive that amount. “Ninenerbyos po ako until now. It’s a mixed emotions po. Gusto ko pong maiyak na tuwang-tuwa po ako. Salamat po, sir,” the driver said.
In the comment section of this post, many netizens praised the legendary boxing champ for his generosity and his willingness to share his blessings. Here are some comments.
