There are several politicians who are coming back in the political scene for Election 2019.
Here are some of them.
Manuel ‘Mar’ Roxas
He seeks to be elected as a Senator once again. Before he ran as President back in 2016 elections, he was the DILG Secretary under the administration of former President Benigno ‘Noynoy’ Aquino III.
Lito Lapid
After his stint in Ang Probinsyano, the former Senator joins the senatorial race for the next elections.
Paolo Duterte
The former Vice Mayor is running for Davao City District 1 Representative. He resigned amid the heat of controversial issues.
Neri Colmenares
The former Makabayan party-list Representative is running under Makabayan Party as Senator.
Junjun Binay
He will be running against his sister incumbent Makati Mayor Abby Binay. He said that he will not depend on his father’s backing but to the voters of Makati.
Jejomar Binay
Reportedly, the former Vice President will be running as the Representative of Makati’s 1st District. He also served as Mayor of Makati for several terms.
Jinggoy Estrada
The ex-Senator is also one of the Senatorial aspirants for 2019 elections. He was previously detained for his alleged involvement in Pork Barrel Scam.
Lorenzo “Erin” Tañada III
He filed his certificate of candidacy as Senator under the Liberal Party. Politics runs in his veins as he is the grandson of the late former Sen. Lorenzo Tañada and the son of former Sen. Wigberto Tañada, based on Inquirer’s report.
Juan Ponce Enrile
The former Senate President joins the list of returning politicians for Election 2019. He will be running as Senator once again. He filed his COC last October 16.
