Ang Probinsyano Actor Lito Lapid Files Certificate of Candidacy

Ang Probinsyano actor Lito Lapid is ready to take another Senate run as he filed his certificate of candidacy at the Commission on Election (COMELEC).

Recently, action star Lito Lapid has made a comeback on the television through the ABS-CBN primetime action drama television series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. It has been a while since he took a break from his showbiz career.

Lito plays the character of Romulo “Pinunu” Dumaguit in the FPJAP. He is one of the members of the Vendetta along with the program’s main character, Cardo Dalisay, who is played by Coco Martin.

During his showbiz hiatus, Ang Probinsyano actor Lito Lapid dedicated his time being a public servant. In 2004, he was elected as a Senator.

Based on a recent report on Inquirer, Lito Lapid is taking another political bid in the upcoming 2019 Elections. The Ang Probinsyano actor who just filed his candidacy is eyeing for a Senate comeback.

The Kapamilya actor reportedly filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) at the Commission on Election (COMELEC) main office in Intramuros, Manila. According to the report, he was accompanied by his son Mark Lapid.

Based on a report on PhilStar, Ang Probinsyano actor Lito Lapid did not deliver an opening statement regarding his decision to take a Senate bid in the upcoming 2019 elections. Meanwhile, he allowed a photo opportunity.

According to the report, a reporter asked the Kapamilya actor about his advocacy. In his response, he expressed that he would just be repeating what he said before. A member of the press said something to which the former Senator gave a response.

“Baka sabihin, sir hindi niyo kayang sagutin ‘yung tanong kaya ayaw mo magsalita,” the reporter said.

“Hindi nga,” the Ang Probinsyano actor responded.
