Bank Info Of About 380,000 Clients Got Hacked Revealed By British Airways

British Airways revealed that the bank details of about 380,000 clients making bookings got hacked and stolen in a data breach.

BA reported that personal details of their customers had been stolen in a data breach between 2158 GMT on August 21 and 2045 GMT on September 5, 2018.

During the almost two-week hack, about 380, 000 financial details of bank card have been stolen.

The airline immediately launched an investigation regarding the incident and said that they would do their best to manage any claims of customers on an individual basis in terms of compensation.

“The personal and financial details of customers making bookings on our website and app were compromised. The breach has been resolved and our website is working normally. We have notified the police and relevant authorities,” British Airways said quoted by Inquirer.

However, several customers are complaining that haven’t heard anything from the airline although they were affected by the data breach.

The British Airways have been already affected by past IT issues including data breach, according to the National Crime Agency (NCA).

The airline company has also apologized in July due to technical issues, which causes dozens of flights to and from London Heathrow Airport.
