Hidilyn Diaz expresses sentiments over lack of support to national athletes.
The gold medalist in the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia Hidilyn Diaz expresses something over lack of support to the athletes of the country.
Hidilyn Diaz is the country’s silver and bronze medalist at the 2017 World Weightlifting Championships.
In a previous article, she is also an Olympian bagging the silver medal during the 2016 Rio Olympics scoring 200kg in the women’s 53kg category in weightlifting.
And recently, the 27-year-old weightlifter delivered the first gold medal of the Philippines in the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia.
However, in a report from the PhilStar, she revealed, “May isang tao na nagsabing atleta ka lang.
This is after she was asked about the poem she wrote where she poured out her heart out.
Diaz added, “‘Yung demand nila, sobrang high. Pero ‘yung binibigay nila, sobrang liit.”
In her poems where she has stated, “Atleta lang! Yan parati nasa akin isipan. Pabalik-balik at ako’y sobrang nasaktan.

@haydzkiek: Buong puso kitang pinasasalamatan Madam. Salamat sa dinala mong karangalan.
@siokoy69: Athletes are the one who give recognition to the country. They dedicate & sacrifice [their] life to win medals and the credit will be on the higher officials. We are proud of you #HidilynDiaz. You are an inspiration. Focus on your dreams!
