Marlo Mortel shared his final moments with his mother.
The Kapamilya actor and singer Marlo Mortel has shared the final moments he had with his mother before she passed away last August 24.
August 24 marked the date when Marlo Mortel lost someone really important from his life. In a previous article, the actor’s mother passed away battling cancer.
She passed away fighting for her life and everyone surely knows how the actor stayed strong for his mother and also fought with her just to be with her a little longer.
Before her mother passed away, together with Morisette Amon, they were even able to sing a song for her in a hospital.

Indeed, it is heartbreaking to lose someone and the pain gets double if that someone is the one who made you the person that you are, who raised you, and who have loved you unconditionally.
“I can’t believe this is happening. I’m in so much pain. I don’t want to, but I have to let you go. All you ever did was love me and take care of me,” he wrote in a post as he bid goodbye to her.

And now, in a report from PEP, he shared the final moments he had with her mother. He is still coping up with the great loss but continues to move forward for that is what his mother wants him to do certainly.
“Ang dami, kasi hindi naman siya biglaang namatay. Parang slowly dying siya. Three days kaming umiiyak kasi nga, nag-aagaw-buhay ng three days. So, ang hirap.”
In the end, he accepted what happened. He realized that his mother needs rest.
“Actually, last night lang bago siya mawala. Kaya hindi siya nagle-let go. Kasi, Tuesday ng hapon [August 21], okay pa siya. Then, Tuesday night, bigla na lang siyang nag-seizure. Parang brain dead na siya.”

“Ang nangyari, ginising ko lang siya nang ginising. Binubulungan ko siya. Parang patay na talaga siya nung Tuesday kung hindi ko lang siya ginising nang ginising na, ‘Mommy, gising ka na, gising ka na.’”
Through a letter, he received messages from his mother such as “Pahinga ka na, papahinga na ako” and “Thanks for everything”.
And after that, he agreed to cut her life support for his mother was not responding anymore.
“Sabi ko, ‘Sige, Mommy, okay na kami rito.’ Pero nung Friday, hindi na niya hinintay na tanggalin ang life support niya, kusa na rin tumigil ang heartbeat niya,” he shared as per report.
