Vice Ganda went emotional as he recalled his heartbreak with the “hugot” song ‘Almost Over You’
Kapamilya host-comedian Vice Ganda brought a feeling of nostalgia during the recent episode of ‘Tawag Ng Tanghalan‘ in ‘It’s Showtime‘.
Daily contender Jhoana Dungca sang the famous “hugot” song ‘Almost Over You’ originally sang by Sheena Easton.
During the interview portion after the contender’s performance, Vice Ganda along with Anne Curtis talked about the heartbreak song.
Anne said that the song brings out certain sentiments especially in women after break up. Then she cited and sang the part which for her is the most emotional.
Vice interrupted and said that she should sing it a bit softer that she did. Anne followed as the comedian was coaching her the proper way to do it.
With the motivation of recalling that heartbreaking part, Vice made Anne sang so heartfelt.
“Naramdaman kita ‘dun,” the Kapamilya actress said. Then they hugged each other.
After that, the ‘Buy Bust’ actress challenged the ‘Gandang Gabi Vice’ host to do the same emotional rendition of ‘Almost Over You’.
Anne also said the similar motivation to Vice.
“Close your eyes. Take a deep breathe. Let’s go back to the time, that heartbreak when he told you, ‘Hindi na ‘to puwede,’” she said.
With that dramatic scene, still they managed to pull off a comedic act when Vice Ganda was still closing his eyes, everyone left him on stage.
When the comedian finally sang, some members of the audience were still laughing. The he jokingly said: “Masaya kayo na nasasaktan ako? Hindi niyo alam ang nararamdaman ko”.
“Ang alam niyo lang ang ngiti sa mukha ko, pero hindi niyo alam ang sugat sa puso ko,” he added and sang again with more emotions.
The crowd was silent as he let out every word in that specific part of the “hugot” song. Vice Ganda was teary-eyed as he sang it.
