Marc Pingris apologized for taking a selfie after Gilas brawl.
MARC PINGRIS – The famous basketball player Marc Pingris speaks up over his “insensitive” selfie during the game break following Gilas brawl against Australia.
In a previous article, the brawl of the Gilas and Boomer which sparked after an aggressive forearm from Daniel Kickert to RR Pogoy who, prior to it, lashed out an elbow to Chris Goulding.
Some of the PBA players of the country reacted and some have said that what they did was embarrassing.
But Gilas player Terrence Romeo has this defiant and unapologetic statement for defending and not leaving a brother and a teammate amid the tension which eventually led to a controversial altercation.
However, in a report, basketball star Andrew Bogut has roasted the Gilas in a Twitter post for taking a selfie shortly after the brawl has been mediated which is during the game’s break.
“Blokes taking a team selfie after all that. Down 31. Yep. They really just took a team selfie,” he has written.

The selfie was taken and initiated by Marc Pingris, one of the famous basketball players in the country.
The photo has then gathered widespread criticisms.
Thus, Marc Pingris has spoken up about it and apologized for his act.
On Instagram, Pingris wrote, “I sincerely apologize to everyone who were affected by the selfie that I took during the break of the Gilas Pilipinas vs. Australia game. While I honestly meant no disrespect to anyone, I realized that the timing was inappropriate.”
He also added, “This unfortunate incident has taught me a valuable life lesson, particularly on the need to be circumspect in such situations. [I] will do my best to conduct myself better especially in my support of the Gilas Pilipinas National Team.”
