VICE GANDA – The prominent Kapamilya comedian Vice Ganda asked for prayer for his recovery after finding out the results of having a stent for a couple of months.
To recall, the comedian Vice Ganda has been rushed to the hospital after suffering an extreme abdominal pain.
According to a previous report, he was diagnosed with having “ureteral colic, a condition when a stone from the kidney falls and gets stuck in the tube connecting the kidney to the urinary bladder.”
“The first plan for Vice was extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy to fragment the stone in the ureter and using IV contrast to locate the stone. However, even with the IV contrast, the stone remained not targetable so the urologist revised the treatment plan to cystoscopy, insertion of stent,” says his sister who is also a doctor.
And recently, as he celebrated his birthday on “It’s Showtime”, he revealed and admitted in front of the audience how he struggles to have a stent inside his body.
Accordingly, the doctor said that he will have it for two months and yet after 2 months the results of the CT scan showed that he is still not fine, thus, the stent inserted inside his body will not be removed yet.
He also confessed the importance of health as one gets older.
“Kasi kapag nagtatawanan tayo, lalo na sa TNT (Tawag ng Tanghalan), biglang nawawala ang ngiti ko, bumabagsak ang ngiti ko, kasi nararamdaman ko ang tubo ko masakit. Kasi may kidney stones ako. Hindi lumabas, pinasukan ng tubo. Sabi ko ayaw ko na, gusto ko nang ipatanggal ito. Sabi ng doctor after two months tingnan natin.”
“Nagpa-ultrasound ako. Excited ako na makuha ‘yung result, eh hindi pa okay, kaya hindi pa siya tatanggalin. Bukas mayroon akong CT scan. Ipag-pray niyo ako para okay na ako. Hindi kasi ako makagalaw,” he said based on a report from ABS-CBN.
