Pinay Athlete Hidilyn Diaz Express Frustrations Over Poor Support Received By Athletes From Government
The Filipina athlete Hidilyn Diaz has expressed her frustration for the poor support received by the athletes from the Philippine government.
Hidilyn Diaz, a professional Filipino weightlifter who bagged a silver medal during the 2016 Olympics in Brazil has finally revealed the reason why the Philippines doesn’t have any gold medal from the Olympics.
Recently, the Pinay athlete has lamented the Philippine government for the poor support received by the Filipino athletes from them through posting an eye-opener post.
Diaz has posted the photo of Philippine weightlifting training facilities, which garnered different reactions from the social media users.
The 26-year-old athlete has captioned the photo with:
“Nagtataka pa ba tayo bakit hanggang ngayon wala pa tayong Gold medal sa Olympics? Sabi ni coach 1990 pagpunta niya dito sa manila ganito na ang gym hanggang ngayon ganito parin.”
The social media users also supported Hidilyn on her sentiments regarding the old facilities, which has no improvement since 90’s.
The athlete did not mention any commission on her post but seems she’s referring to the sports commission that holds that budgets for both athletes and sports facilities.
