DOTr Issues Updates On Maria Isabel Lopez For Violating ASEAN Lane Guidelines
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has released the latest updates on Maria Isabel Lopez for violating the ASEAN lane guidelines.
Maria Isabel Lopez is a former title holder of Binibining Pilipinas Universe in 1982 and a television actress. She earned her popularity through joining several beauty contests and her appearance in different television shows and movie projects.
Recently, the actress has been one of the most controversial TV personality after breaching the lane reserved for the guests of 31st Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit, which is considered a traffic violation.
Eventually, the former beauty queen issued a public apology after admitting her mistakes for violating the traffic law.
On Monday (November 13, 2017), the Department of Transportation (DOTr) has released updates regarding the violation Maria Isabel Lopez.
DOTr said on their Twitter post that the Land Transportation Office (LTO) has issued summon to the actress for committing a violation.
The agency explained that the 55-year-old actress has disregarded the traffic signs, violated the Anti-Distracted Driving Act, and reckless driving.
Meanwhile, LTO Chief Edgar Galvante said that proper investigation procedures will be imposed to ensure that their decision will be anchored.
