Does Joey Marquez not in favor of her daughter Wynwyn Marquez joining the Miss World Philippines?
JOEY MARQUEZ – Host and veteran actor Joey Marquez is allegedly not in favor of her daughter Wynwyn Marquez’s decision on joining the Miss World Philippines.
According to a report from the Philippines’ Ultimate Showbiz Hub (Push), Wynwyn Marquez is the daughter of the two of the artist who already has big names in the entertainment industry, Joey Marquez and Alma Moreno.
And true to his words, he is not entirely in favor of his daughter’s decision for he wanted her to prioritize her education but then, whatever may his daughter’s decision, he surely going to support her.
Joey Marquez said, “Actually isa ako sa umaawat sa kanya na huwag na muna sana, kasi mas gusto ko na makapag PhD muna siya para sa edukasyon muna niya kasi ang edukasyon naka tatak yan e. Pero ganun pa man gusto niya sumali e di sige kasi desisyon naman niya yun at pangarap niya yun.”

Though half-hearted and torn between whether to tell Wynwyn to pursue her dreams or her education still he was not able to hide the excitement he feels as his daughter steps out to join one of the most prestigious beauties and brain competition of the Philippines.
“Oo naman all out support pa din kami sa kanya, pero sabi ko sakanya after this ang gusto ko naman ang gawin mo, at gagawin naman daw niya. Si Ness medyo excited pa nga e, ako din naman excited pero ang sabi ko lang sa kanya ‘Hindi mo naman kailangan maging beauty queen’ dahil sa akin kasi pinaka maganda na siya,” he further added.

And he knew very well what his daughter had sacrificed just for her dream to be a beauty queen.
“Naawa nga ako sa kanya [Wynwyn] dahil nakikita ko yung sakripisyo niya gigising ng maaga, mag work out mag trabaho, mag diet mag gym, sasayaw sabi ko nga ‘buhay paba yung kaluluwa mo sa ginagawa mong yan?’ Pero wala pangarap talaga niya ang maging beauty queen. Sabi ko nga ‘ingat ingat lang anak kung nararapat sayo yan ibibigay sa iyo yan’ kung di man, magpasalamat padin tayo kasi sama sama tayo,” Joey indicated.
