Paula Defensor Knack accused the Robredos of betraying her older sister.
Paula Defensor Knack accused the late Department of Interior and Local Government former Secretary Jesse Robredo and Vice President Leni Robredo of betraying her sister, the late Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago.
The younger sister of the late Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago took to the social media her accusations against the Robredo couple based on a recent news report in Balitang Totoo.
“I SHALL NEVER FORGET what they did. I saw my sister very disappointed,” Knack stated in her social media post.
According to her, in 1991, “a fighter of graft and corruption,” Sen. Miriam did not have any money to ask “professional organizers” to join her so she went to Bicol and recruited a young mayor, former DILG Sec. Robredo.
Knack claimed that Robredo was recruited by the Senator to be the regional organization of MOVERS and Peoples Reform Party’s head. She stated that the Robredo couple welcomed Sen. Santiago and those who were with her that time.
The younger sister of the late Senator further claimed that her older sister asked her and their brother to include his name in the list of officers of the political party.
“We were the founding lawyers & campaign organizers of PRP… We were proud, he was a young mayor,” Knack stated.
However, Knack stated that they were surprised when Robredo came to their office a few weeks after and told Sen. Santiago that he can’t be with her in reforming the Philippines anymore.
According to Knack, her sister told them that she was really disappointed but she wished Robredo good luck. She claimed that Robredo joined former President Fidel V. Ramos who “went to massively cheat”.
Based on the report, if Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte would permit a debate between her and Vice Pres. Robredo and it will be aired internationally, she would go for it. She stated that she is not afraid as Sen. Miriam and their brother have trained her.
According to the post which was screen captured by the source, Knack never experienced defeat in any debate may it be nationally or internationally. She has five quests for Vice Pres. Robredo.
