Thursday, December 29 at the Kia Theatre, Metro Manila Film Festival Gabi ng Parangal announced the winners of the MMFF 2016.

The Sunday Beauty Queen won the Best Picture while the Eat Bulaga host and now multi-awarded actor Paolo Ballesteros bags another acting award for the Metro Manila Film Festival official entry ‘Die Beautiful’.

Paolo won as Best Actor award and Erik Matti won Best Director for the movie Seklusyon.

In a recent news report of Rappler, MMFF is happy to announce that they hit their target ticket sales on the first day of the festival.

MMFF shared to the public that they have a shorter run this year compared to previous years.

Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) is the annual Filipino film festival, which opens every Christmas Day.

MMFF is considered as one of the most awaited film fests during the Christmas season which showcases movies that are locally made.

Despite the several changes on their movie line-up on its 42nd year, MMFF ended up successful to show a  “festival that celebrates Filipino artistic excellence, promotes audience development and champions the sustainability of the Philippine movie industry.”
