Recently, news reports broke in entailing the resignation of Vice Pres. Robredo from her Cabinet position after a text message has reached her.

The said text message which allegedly came from Cabinet Secretary Jun Evasco Jr. contend that Pres. Rodrigo Duterte wants her to “desist from attending all Cabinet meetings”. The Vice President then decided to step down from her post as the HUDCC head.

In a recent news report in GMA News Online, it is stated that Vice Pres. Robredo took to social media the list of her achievements when she was the head of the HUDCC.

Based on the news report, the Vice President made emphasis on her efforts to come up with new policies for the housing sector which are aligned to her vow to ‘give voice to the poor, strengthen the Filipino family, and build happy communities’ as she has said.

Furthermore, the pushing of the move to construct 17,000 houses for the victims of the super typhoon Yolanda was also highlighted in the Vice President’s post and as well as her efforts to cut red tape.

Vice Pres. Robredo also exerted efforts to provide 46,000 families with socialized homes according to the news report.
