This is what President Bongbong Marcos said regarding the result of the midterm polls.
PRESIDENT BONGBONG MARCOS – The winners have been proclaimed already, and the president has this to say about the results.
The Halalan 2025 has just concluded, and in the senatorial race, Senator Bong Go, and only 5 senatorial candidates backed by the administration, turned out victorious. The other 5 were backed by Vice President Sara Duterte, and the other two were given by the people to candidates who are known as critics of the late President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

When asked about the results of the midterm polls, President Bongbong Marcos made two conclusions. One, he felt like the people grew tired of politics, and it seems to him, the message being relayed by this is: ‘Tama na ang pamumulitika ninyo at kami naman ang asikasuhin ninyo.’
His second conclusion, he expressed that the result showed that the people are disappointed with the government’s service.
According to him, the government is focused more on big, long-term projects, as he also noted the woes people face every day, such as heavy traffic and long queues in the rail systems. As the president, he wanted to make changes, hence, his administration is focused on projects with long-term effects.
In terms of voter turnout, the midterm elections performed well, with the highest percentage recorded who cast their votes; however, the results have been one of the lowest turnouts for the administration.
