Philippine Azkals Unveiled Newest Kit for the FIFA World Cup Qualifier

The Philippine national football team, Philippine Azkals unveiled their newest kit as they are going to wear a football uniform made by local brand LGR Athletic Wears, Inc. The LGR sports uniform is one of the fastest growing sports brands in the country and they partnered with the Philippine Azkals as they venture into the second round of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The newest jersey of the Philippine Azkals feature the red, white and blue colors of the Philippine national flag as well as the symbolic three stars and a sun on the back of the Azkals jersey.

Azkals members who will be donning the national colors for the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers put the new kit on during the Wednesday night’s formal unveiling and launch of their World Cup campaign at Sparta Sports and Recreational Training Arena in Mandaluyong.

Aside from the Azkals players and coaching staff led by former US National Team member Thomas Dooley and team manager Dan Palami and Philippine Football Federation on hand for the kickoff, dubbed “We Believe.”

According to Azkals Team Manager Dan Palami, his team was honored to represent the 107.6 million Filipinos. He was quoted as saying “It’s an honor for the Azkals to represent 107.6 million Filipinos. We hope we’ll bring the whole Philippines forward to the third round, if not the finals,” said Palami.

The Philippine Azkals are bracketed with powerhouse teams Bahrain, Yemen, North Korea, and Uzbekistan in the round-robin, home-and-away competition and will begin their bid on June 11 at one of the advanced football pitch in the country, the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bocaue, Bulacan.
