Man of Steel Earns P247 Million in 5 Days in Philippine Box Office

The highly-anticipated movie of the year, “Man of Steel” by Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures opened a record-breaking P247-Million in the Philippines.

The box office income of the movie is the all-time biggest opening ever in the industry for the month of June. The confirmation and announcement was made through Francis Soliven, General Manager of Warner Bros. (F.E.), Inc. the Philippine distributor of the movie.

Mr. Soliven was quoted as saying that, “We’re thrilled at the tremendous response we’ve seen from audiences across the country to Zack Snyder’s exciting new vision of the iconic Super Hero,” said Soliven. “From internet pre-sales to people lining up for theaters, `Man of Steel’ has proven to be the must-see film of the season.” Soliven said.

The newest Superman movie, Man of Steel shattered the record for the highest June opening weekend in history previously held by “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” during the year 2011.

The movie featuring Henry Cavill have already established a new record for all-time biggest first-day gross with P69.52-M during its first day opening on June 12, 2013.
