When an opportunity strikes, people will surely grab it especially when such thing comes in an affordable price.

Customers hastily flocked in an online retailer site, Sears.com, to purchase a 16GB iPad 2 that was priced for as low as $69.  Normally, the famous 16 GB iPad 2 of Apple is worth $744.99. Such advertisement rapidly spread last Friday on various social networking sites especially on Twitter.

Most iPad lovers started showing huge interest to this incredible price. The spokesman of Sears could not even accurately count how many web customers supposedly took advantage to it. However, it was later on discovered that the deal was a mere accident.

The unexpected deal had strike on a Friday night dated July 15, 2011. It was then that Sears declared that it was just an error created by someone whom they considered to be a “third-party vendor”. With the official statement released by Sears, Apple’s 16GB iPad 2 that was advertised for only $69 was invalid.

Based on what Sears has declared, there had been a certain third party retailer who mistakenly labelled those models of Apple iPad. For such reason, the orders were reported to be cancelled.

Several customers showed disappointments over the announcement. Few hours after purchasing, web shoppers individually received emails saying that their deals were not honoured as customers ended blaming the third party vendor.

Because of this, some online shoppers were dismayed and began to express statements saying that they don’t trust the said company any longer.
