
Allan McNish, a 41-year-old Scottish driver had survived a crashed at Le Mans 24-hour racewhen it smashed into a barrier after a collision with a Ferrari driven by Frenchman Anthony Beltoise.
McNish who had driven the Audi R18 number 3, one of the most technologically safe car that have been tested in real time.
During the accident the rest of the car, was virtually exploded but the ch(–foul word(s) removed–)is remained in one piece. The single-piece construction designed add more rigidity to the race car and a put more safety on the drivers side.
There were no bystanders hit during the accident although the place where it happens was the area where photographers had gathered together.
The former winner was unharmed in one of the most miraculous survival crashed in racing history. He stepped out from his car and taken ot the circuit medical center for precautionary measures.
The Audi R18 TD was in total wreck but the driver was unharmed thanks to the engineering capabilities brought by Audi to its car.
