The Philippine representative to the Miss World beauty pageant In indonesia appealed for help in behalf of the people of Olongapo City currently experiencing the worst flood in their history.
The 23-year-old native from Olongapo City Megan Young competes in the Miss World posted an inundated photos of Olongapo City Public Market on the Miss World Philippines official Facebook page.
Megan is considered as one of the top contender to win the crown in this year’s beauty pageant having cited by various international pageant experts.
The Philippines’ bet to win the Miss World 2013 crown also posted the following appeal:
“This is what is happening RIGHT NOW in my hometown in the Philippines. This is the public market and it is nearly submerged. If this is underwater, what more the houses nearby?” Megan said.
“Please help my friends and neighbors by voicing out to the rescue team to save those whose houses are underwater. Please collect as many old clothes as you can. Their food and water are probably all gone and they need that the most,” she added.
