Currently, the Philippines is near to its May 2025 Midterm polls which is set on Monday, May 12. Both local and national elections are set to be held. The Marcos administration has its own set of senatorial bets — the candidates under the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago.

The Alyansa is a product of the merging of several huge political parties in the country — the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), the Lakas–Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD), the National Unity Party (NUP), the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC), and the Nacionalista Party.

Amid the elections drawing near, an impeachment complaint was attempted to be filed against Pres. Bongbong Marcos. It did not push through for a reason.
